Pre-Discharge Debtor Education - Personal Financial Management Course - User Agreement
This course has a 2-hour minimum study requirement and a final exam. In order to complete this course you must
- Go over all the material
- Answer all the chapter quizzes correctly
- Spend no less than 2 hours in the course
- Complete the final exam
- If you score below 70% on the final exam, a Credit Counselor will review the missed questions with you through our messaging system.

Terms and Conditions
$0$ BK Class, Inc. dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com is required to disclose the following information prior to each Pre-Discharge Debtor Education session:
- Pre-Discharge Debtor Education fee is $23 for individual and $24 for joint filers. We do not charge a separate or additional fee for the generation of the certificate. Additional fees for the optional service of
- Rush Certificate: $9.95
- Mailed Certificate to physical address: $10.95
- Electronic Filing of Certificate with the Court: $8.95
- $0$ BK Class, Inc.'s policy enabling debtors to obtain an instructional course for free or at reduced rates based upon the debtor's lack of ability to pay is as follows: $0$ BK Class, Inc. will waive the Personal Financial Management Instructional Course fee when a client demonstrates a lack of ability to pay the fees. A fee waiver may be obtained if filer(s) meet the following requirement: Filer(s) must be below 150% of the HHS Poverty Guidelines of the current year. If you meet this requirement you must submit your last year's tax return (as proof of income) and a letter requesting a fee waiver to . Please allow one business day for processing prior to taking the class. You will be notified via email with instructions on how to proceed to take the class. If you don't have tax returns please provide us with a document that demonstrates you meet the requirement (e.g. Welfare Statement). - The course is offered to debtor students without regard to a debtor student's ability to pay.
- $0$ BK Class, Inc., dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com is a non-profit agency.
- Our funding sources come from the class fees (including the Pre-Petition Bankruptcy Counseling and the Pre-Discharge Debtor Education) that are charged to the Debtors (Clients).
- Debtor needs to be aware that $0$ BK Class, Inc. might disclose debtor information to the United States Trustee in connection with the United States Trustee's oversight of $0$ BK Class, Inc., or during the investigation of complaints, during on-site visits, or during quality of service reviews.
- The United States Trustee has reviewed only the Debtor Education instructional course and the credit-counseling course. The United States Trustee has neither reviewed nor approved any other services the provider provides to debtors.
- We do not provide attorneys with discounted course fees in exchange of debtor referrals.
- The payment or receipt of referral fees is prohibited.
- Our Certified Credit Counselors are certified every year through a third party
that offers certification and continuing education for Credit Counselors.
Managers have at least 5 years of previous lending experience or 5 years in
the financial industry.
- Our Certified Credit Counselors are certified every two years through a third party that offers certification and continuing education for Credit Counselors. Managers have at least 5 years of lending experience or 5 years in the financial industry.
- The course we offer is only approved to be taken online. The online class is available 24/7. Our credit counselors are available and certificates will be issued during the hours of 8:00 am – 8:00 pm PST
- The provider ($0$ BK Class, Inc.) does not receive fees or other consideration for the referral of Debtor Students to or from other approved providers.
- The cost of service (class fee) will be paid by the Debtor or an individual giving consent to pay for the class fee before starting the class. It is paid online as part of the registration process. Acceptable forms of payments include all major credit cards and PayPal.
- In order to verify the identity of each Debtor who is taking the class, each Debtor will be asked to provide their social security number, date of birth & personal information prior to registering and taking the class.
- Limited English proficient debtors: $0$ BK Class, Inc. offers its services in English and Spanish only. If the debtor wishes to take the course in a language other than ones mentioned, $0$ BK Class, Inc. will promptly refer the debtor to an approved provider that offers the course in the debtor's preferred language at no cost. The provider that you are referred to may charge a fee for taking the course.
- Upon completion of this online registration, each debtor will be emailed a unique "Access Code". The email will be sent to the primary email address on file. You will be asked to enter it to verify your identity at the commencement of course. If the debtor had previously registered and took the Pre-Filing Credit Counseling, the new access code will be emailed for this course. Do not use your old access code, only your new access code that is being emailed after registration is valid for this course.
- Debtor will only receive certificate if debtor completes instruction.
- It is $0$ BK Class, Inc. dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com Obligation to provide certificate promptly upon completion of instruction.
- $0$ BK Class, Inc. dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com will not report any information
provided by the debtor or regarding this course to any credit reporting agency. Taking this
course will not negatively affect the debtor's credit report. However, bankruptcy or
choosing an alternative to bankruptcy that results in the debtor making less than the
contractual payments to creditors does reflect negatively on credit ratings. Bankruptcy
alternatives may include, but are not limited to, debt management, debt settlement,
making partial payments of the amount due, or non-payment. A credit report reflecting
bankruptcy can lower credit scores, remain on credit report for 7 to 10 years and impact
the ability to obtain financing for a home, car and other lines of credit. Employers and
landlords may run a credit check with written consent from an applicant. A credit report
reflecting bankruptcy could have an impact on potential employment and housing. A
credit report may reflect the participation in a debt management program. Credit may
view participation negatively in a debt management program and not extend lines of
credit to participants.
- Once the instruction process has been completed, $0$ BK Class, Inc., dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com will email a copy of the certificate within one business day of completion to the primary debtor. It will be emailed to the primary debtor's email address as listed during the registration. The client/Debtor(s) are solely responsible for providing a certificate to their attorney. $0$ BK Class, Inc., dba MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com will not be held liable for certificates that are lost in transition; however, we will resend the certificate at the client's request.
- Certificates will be issued for the business day when the course is completed.
